Paul is a native of Toledo, Ohio but he has spent time all over the United States. As a federal employee, Paul lived and worked in Colorado, Oregon and Tennessee. After returning to Toledo, he spent 4 years in radio, dealing with everyone from Mayor Finkbeiner to Ralph Nader. That experience is invaluable when negotiating with prosecutors, interviewing witnesses and trying cases before the various judges in Northwest Ohio.
During his time in law school, Paul focused exclusively on trial-level criminal law. And, as a practicing attorney, he only takes criminal misdemeanor and felony cases. Rather than trying to do Divorce on Monday, Criminal Defense on Tuesday and Bankruptcy on Wednesday; Paul spends all his time working on serious criminal issues.
Paul is a published author in the area of Criminal Law, having written an article on the intersection of medicine and police searches and seizures. In addition, he spent time as an intern with Justice Judith Lanzinger of the Ohio Supreme Court as well as with the Lucas County Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office. Paul is admitted to practice in the State of Ohio.
